2011 09 15- A whale spotted two days ago off Newfoundland matched to our whale #0043 or HWC8363 Print E-mail
Written by Andrew Stevenson

Above is our #0043 photographed in Bermuda in 2008 on the 11th of April and in 2009 on the 19th of April. This is humpback HWC#8363 in the Allied Whle catalogue. Below is Joel Detcheverry's photo of the same whale taken two days ago 15 miles to the south-west of the French Islands of Saint-Pierre et Miquelon. The match was made by the eagle-eyed Roger Etcheberry who claims he is not so much eagle-eyed but retired and a hard worker. Whatever works...

And below are some photos of Elsa and I sitting on the wall trying to stay there as Hurricane Marie's waves start battering Bermuda on the same day as the fluke ID was made above

There were two whale lovers, sitting on the wall- when one whale lover should accidently fall there was only one whale lover, left sitting on the wall. The trick, Elsa tells me, is to clench your buttocks when the wave hits
