22nd May 08 presentation to Warwick Academy students 5-11. Print

8.30 to 9.30 am talked to Warwick Academy students from the ages of 5 to 11 about the North Atlantic humpback whales. Lots of great questions after seeing half an hour of my high definition underwater footage of humpbacks including a two-week old calf with mother, a three-month old calf with mother, and a fifteen-month old calf with mother. Also a pod of ten whales swimming by, what looks like a male and female humpback about to mate, and a pod of very excited males blowing threatening bubbles at each other, and me.

I took my camera to get a photograph of the whole assembly and promptly forgot to take a photo! And I forgot my camera. When I went back to collect my camera from the school library a class of students who had seen the presentation were there asking for my signature! Photo thanks to Francoise Wolff the librarian.
