9th May 08 more sightings from South Shore Print E-mail
Written by Andrew Stevenson

Today there were more sightings phoned in from South Shore, off Elbow Beach. I drove out there immediately by car and saw probably two whales breaching and lobtailing. Unfortunately the winds and waves made it too rough to go out there on David Saul's boat, but it was nice to see the whales. Judging from the sightings we get from the same few people who make the occasional effort to spot whales from South Shore and to phone them in, I would surmise there are even more whales passing by regularly that we don't hear about. I'll keep heading out until at least the end of the month, or until I don't find or hear any more whales.
